Light The World - 25 ways in 25 days

Each Christmas, we celebrate the life of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World. From December 1 through December 25, honor Him and share His light through daily acts of service.

Many members of our stake were blessed by last year's Light the World Campaign, but the involvement was sporadic. This Christmas Season, let's claim these blessings for ourselves and our families as we really light up the world!

Please forward this email (with attachments) to your entire ward council and consider together the following ways to Light the World:

• Each organization (Priesthood, Relief Society, YM, YW, Primary) could present the attached 5th Sunday Lesson (good for any Sunday) before or soon after November 24.
• Plan with family members or friends about how to Light the World "25 ways in 25 days" (great for FHE). Invite neighbors or friends to participate in the advent calendar with you or to join you in one or more particular acts of service.
• Share the attached materials and related experiences widely with family members/neighbors/friends and over social media.

There are a number of resources available to use as we celebrate the life of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, and let His light shine-- in our lives and the lives of others this December. The following items are attached:

These resources are available at www.mormon.org/downloads along with a digital pass-along card and other items. Additional information will be available beginning Friday, November 24.

At Our Lord's birth, He descended from heaven to earth so that he could fully understand and embrace humankind in the the flesh and bless us all. As we celebrate this Christmas, as we increase our focus on Him and on those He would have us serve, the light of Christ will fill our hearts and homes and will spread to friends and neighbors, thus building Zion and preparing for His glorious descent from heaven to earth again.
